Solution for Chronic Fatigue

Man with chronic fatigue

The brain requires a significant amount of energy and oxygen to perform its complex functions. It is estimated that it consumes 20-25% of the total oxygen available in the body. In fact, an oxygen deficiency is recognized as one of the main causes of chronic fatigue.

To meet the needs for oxygen, glucose, and other vital substances, approximately one liter of blood is pumped into the skull every minute. But what would happen if the supply pathways were subjected to significant compression?

The misalignment of the Atlas can create a real "bottleneck," compressing the main nerves and blood vessels exiting the skull.

Nerve compression causes a dispersion of nerve impulses. In more severe cases, the pressure can lead to actual "short circuits" in the electrical signals in transit. Prolonged or constant pressure on a nerve also causes irritation, affecting the proper functioning of the nervous system.

If a nerve impulse is too weak or fails to reach its destination, the brain must compensate by sending stronger signals. Throughout the day, the brain transmits millions of impulses; if some of these are dispersed, the energy expenditure becomes significantly higher than normal. This energy imbalance can lead to a condition of chronic fatigue.

On one hand, the brain is subjected to continuous stress, forcing it to perform extra work; on the other, the flow of nutrients and oxygen is limited due to the bottleneck created by the misalignment of the Atlas. Together, these two factors create a vicious cycle that compromises the body's optimal functioning.

In addition, a significant amount of energy is wasted in an attempt to keep tense the muscles involved in compensating for the head imbalance caused by the dysfunctional Atlas. This permanent postural alteration increases energy consumption even for the simplest activities, reducing physical and mental endurance. The result is seemingly unexplained chronic fatigue, drowsiness, and, in severe cases, a feeling of exhaustion and burnout.

After the correction of the Atlas, it is common for people treated with the Atlantomed method to report a notable increase in physical and mental energy. Many report an improvement in breathing, thanks to the decompression of the vagus nerve (connected to the diaphragm), a reduction in the hours of sleep needed to feel rested, and a faster recovery capacity. Chronic fatigue disappears, leaving room for a feeling of lightness. Head movements become wider and freer, with a greater range of rotation and flexion. The whole body seems to function with less effort, promoting a significantly better quality of life.

For completeness, it is important to remember that chronic fatigue can also result from other causes, such as hormonal imbalances, vitamin or mineral deficiencies (particularly iron deficiency, which causes anemia), poor nutrition, or intestinal dysbiosis. If chronic fatigue persists despite the correction of the Atlas, it is advisable to check for these deficiencies or imbalances.

The most direct and effective way to address chronic fatigue, as well as various other disorders, is to begin by checking the alignment of the Atlas. This check can be performed free of charge at the Atlantomed Centers. If the result is negative or the correction does not provide significant benefits, further investigations can always be undertaken. However, the reverse process—starting with other analyses before considering the Atlas—tends to be longer, more complex, and more expensive.

For this reason, it is reasonable to start with a solution like the Atlantomed method, which offers a quick, broad-spectrum, and potentially effective approach to various issues.
